OREANDA-NEWS. June 16, 2010. The Ingosstrakh branch in Nizhny Novgorod won an open auction to enter into a state contract to insure the grain of the regional food bank of the Nizhny Novgorod region.

Insurance coverage is provided for the property interests of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food supplies of the Nizhny Novgorod region, related to the ownership and management of RUR 42.7 million worth of commodities.

Under the terms and conditions of the contract, the property, 7,691 tonnes of agricultural commodities (wheat and rye) is ensured against damage and/or destruction as a result of an unanticipated and sudden occurrence of any of the following events: fire, lightning strike, natural gas explosion, natural disasters, damage by water from water supply, sewage removal, heating and fire extinguishing systems, penetration of water or other liquids into the premises where the insured property is kept, explosion of steam boilers, natural gas tanks, natural gas pipelines, vessels operated under pressure and other similar devices, theft with illegal entry and robbery, crimes perpetrated by third parties, the fall of aircraft or fragments of aircraft onto the insured property, being run over by motor vehicles, water damage as a result of precipitation.
