OREANDA-NEWS. June 17, 2010. The process of POS terminals’ testing based on Ethernet and GPRS connection has been finished in Kapital Bank. Move to innovative technologies of POS connections create new prospects both for the Bank and its clients as well as for trade-service entities where Ethernet and GPRS connection is installed, reported the press-centre of Kapital Bank.

Thus, the innovation will allow trade-service entities to cut expenses for international communications. They free the phone lines for other business targets and squeeze the time for authorization of transaction up to 10 seconds.

Taking into account that new technology doesn’t request permanently based POS terminals, the number of commercial points providing access to mobile POS terminal service is growing: such service is valid at public conveyance, gas stations, cafes and other points. Today 411 POS terminals are available in the acquiring net of the Bank.

The Kapital Bank plans to further grow the volume of retail transactions with plastic cards supported by expansion of its acquiring network.
