OREANDA-NEWS. June 18, 2010. Moscow Domodedovo Airport and Yamal Airlines announce the launch of scheduled flights from Domodedovo to Usinsk in the North East of Russia.

Usinsk is the 4th Russian destination in the route network of the airline which can be reached from Moscow Domodedovo Airport.

Yamal Airlines is now actively developing route network in the northern part of Russia operating flights to cities like Salekhard and Nadym.

Yamal Airlines and Domodedovo have been partners since October 2003. The years of cooperation saw 5500 flights operated and 500 thousand passengers carried. In 2009 115 thousand passengers used the services of the airline these numbers can be compared to those of 2008.

Yamal Airlines is a relatively young developing airline established in 1997. The airline is the major air carrier in Yamalo-Nentsky Autonomous District. There are 25 destinations in Russia and abroad in its route network. The air fleet features foreign and Russian aircraft: B737-500, TU-134, AN-24 and Yak-40. Despite moderate number of aircraft available Yamal Airlines has a firm stand in the air traffic market both in domestic and international.

Moscow Domodedovo Airport is the largest airport of Russia. Its market share in total passenger traffic in Moscow makes 46%. At the moment 74 partner airlines (46 foreign including 11 representing the CIS States and 28 Russian) connecting over 224 destinations operate flights all over the world. The unique route network covered by Domodedovo partner airlines provides for 91 exclusive destinations. In 2009 18,7 million passengers benefited from Domodedovo services.
