OREANDA-NEWS. June 21, 2010. As it was informed in NAER partnership between National Agency for Energy Regulation and Public Service Commission of Missouri state (USA) is the constituent of the Regional Program for Energy Regulation of the USA National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC) and is financed by US Agency for International Development (USAID).

As it was informed by the Director of NAER Marin Profir the program of partnership was planned to become a platform for the exchange of experience and information between two regulators, and its purpose is to improve the practice of regulation. He expressed his confidence that all events held under the program will promote the development of NAER potential on the improvement of energy regulation process.

In the first event of partnership program will take part: delegation of Missouri regulator, NAER delegation, responsible persons of NARUC and USAID. On Monday the parties will represent general information on energy sectors and the bases of their regulation, and on Tuesday – situation on electric power market, practice of their monitoring and regulation. On the second part of Tuesday is planned the official signing of Memorandum on the agreement between NARUC, Public Service Commission of Missouri state and NAER.

On Wednesday the parties will exchange information on the practice of rate development and monitoring of services’ quality, and on Thursday – on various aspects of work with consumers, on the methods of solving the arguments and on state of public relations. On Friday American guests will visit the distributive enterprise RED Union Fenosa, and in the second half of the day they will discuss with responsible persons of NAER the problems interested for future events under the program. It is the second partnership program of NAER with regulator from USA. The first program – with Utility Enterprises Commission of Iowa state – was held in 2002-2004.
