OREANDA-NEWS. June 22, 2010. V. LEBEYCHUK has been appointed the director of Zuevskaya Thermal Power Plant of Vostokenergo LLC (DTEK), DTEK Corporate Communications Department informed.

Before joining Vostokenergo, V. LEBEYCHUK held the post of the Director of Slavianskaya thermal power plant of Donbassenergo Company.

The representatives of the Department underline that the new director of Zuevskaya TPP considers improvement of economic efficiency of the plant’s operation, successful implementation of reconstructions, reduction in break-down rate and ensuring reliable and uninterrupted electricity generation to be his main tasks.

Vladimir LEBEYCHUK was born in 1963. He graduated from Lvov Polytechnical Institute specializing in ‘Power Stations’. He started his career in 1985 as an electrical fitter and later moved to the position of the leading operating engineer. In 1998, Mr. LEBEYCHUK was appointed the Deputy Head of Operations Unit, and in a year he was put in charge of the Planning and Economy Unit. In 2004, V. LEBEYCHUK held the post of the Deputy Director for Economy and Construction at Slavianskaya TPP, and since 2007, he was the Deputy Director for Economy and Capital Construction. Since March 2008, V. LEBEYCHUK was the Director of Slavianskaya TPP.

DTEK is the first private vertically-integrated power company in Ukraine. It is part of the financial and industrial group System Capital Management (SCM). The enterprises of DTEK build up an efficient operational chain of coal production and enrichment, electricity generation and distribution.
 
The coal business of DTEK includes Pavlogradugol (consisting of ten coal mines), Komsomolets Donbassa Mine and five enrichment plants. According to 2009 performance results, the Company’s share in the Ukrainian coal mining industry was 24.4%.
 
The generation business of DTEK is represented by Vostokenergo and the associated Dneproenergo Company, in which DTEK owns 47.5%. According to 2009 performance results, the share of Vostokenergo and Dneproenergo in thermal generation of Ukraine was 25.3% and 20.5% respectively.
 
Service-Invest and Energougol ENE represent the electricity distribution business of DTEK. Their share of electricity purchase in SE Energorynok in 2009 made 7.7%.
