OREANDA-NEWS. June 23, 2010. Belarus’ international reserves, based on the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) methodology, went up 2.5% in January-May 2010 to USD 5.792 billion as of June 1, 2010, according the National Statistics Committee.

As of June 1, foreign currency reserves amounted to USD 3.127 billion, up 24.1% in the first five months, the amount of monetary gold reached the equivalent of USD 786.6 million, down 4.2%, and other assets were at USD 1.322 billion, down 23.7%.

Special drawing rights were at USD 556.8 million as of June 1, down 3.7% from January 1, 2010. Belarus’ IMF reserve position is at USD 0 million, showing no change

In 2009, Belarus’ reserves went up by USD 2.591 billion, or 84.7%. This year, international reserves are projected to rise by USD 500 million-USD 1.83 billion.
