OREANDA-NEWS. June 23, 2010. Belarus’ fruit and vegetable juice imports increased 8% on the year in January-April 2010, to 9,633 tonnes worth USD 12.08 million, up 5% on the year in value terms, the Statistics Committee told.

Russian juice imports went down 4.6% on the year to 4,110 tonnes, which cost USD 4.471 million, an increase of 2.9%.

Imports from Ukraine rose 60.9% in January-April to 2,267 tonnes worth USD 1.745 million, a rise by 25.6%, and from Azerbaijan reached 109.3 tonnes, down 20%, worth USD 399,500, up 46.9%.

The main non-CIS suppliers were Israel with 1,746 tonnes, up 8.2%, worth USD 3.102 million, up 3.1%, and Brazil with 362.6 tonnes to the amount of USD 710,900.
