OREANDA-NEWS. June 25, 2010. Igor Nikolaev , the director of FBK Strategic Analysis Department, met with Nick Malyshev, deputy head of Regulatory Policy Division, OECD (Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development), in the FBK head office, reported the press-centre of FBK.

The meeting took place within preparation of OECD report aimed at evaluation of Russia’s readiness to join this international organization. Igor Nikolaev presented his analysis of Russian government’s measures aimed at cut of administrative barriers in economy, as well as the latest anti-corruption initiatives. According to Nikolaev, change of motivation mechanism must be in the center of administrative reform. “As long as the officials are oriented towards gaining of administrative and status rent, the administrative burden will only grow”, - concluded the economist.

Mr. Malyshev noted that OECD is in complicated position. “Russia must be admitted to OECD; however, Russia still does not progress in improvement of state regulatory policy’s efficiency”, - said Malyshev.
