OREANDA-NEWS. June 24, 2010. Region Avia launched new direct scheduled flights from Moscow Domodedovo airport to Bryansk (Central Russia) which is a unique destination for Moscow Aviation Hub.

The flights are operated twice a week by Embraer 120:

Bryansk has become the seventh destination from Domodedovo airport in Region Avia route network.

Moscow Domodedovo Airport being the leader in Moscow Aviation Hub in terms of passenger volume and number of destinations available pays special attention to domestic air traffic development.

In 2009 the share of Domodedovo airport in Moscow Aviation Hub made 41,6% in domestic air traffic market. Active development of this segment is being recorded at the moment: passenger traffic was increased by 34,3% in comparison to the same period of the last year while the route network was expanded by 9 new destinations representing several Russian Federal Districts: South (Gelendjik), Ural (Kurgan, Beloyarsky, Sovetsky, Nyagan), North-West (Vorkuta, Usinsk), Siberian (Abakan) and now Central.

Moscow Domodedovo Airport is the largest airport of Russia. Its market share in total passenger traffic in Moscow makes 46%. At the moment 74 partner airlines (46 foreign including 11 representing the CIS States and 28 Russian) connecting over 228 destinations operate flights all over the world. The unique route network covered by Domodedovo partner airlines provides for 91 exclusive destinations. In 2009 18,7 million passengers benefited from Domodedovo services.
