OREANDA-NEWS. June 29, 2010. According to the Eurobank’s report, in Chisinau high-ranking representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development will meet the Moldovan authorities, including the acting President Mihai Ghimpu, the Prime Minister Vladimir Filat, members of the government as well as representatives of the Communist party, international finance organizations operating in Moldova, nongovernmental organizations, representatives of business and dimplomatic communities.

The visit of EBRD delegation to Moldova is part of a regular series of consultations that enable the EBRD Directors to obtain up-to-date information on developments in the Bank’s countries of operation.

The visit will last till June 29th. Representatives of the delegation are: Kurt Bayer, representing Austria, Israel, Cyprus, Malta, Kazakhstan and Bosnia and Herzegovina, Stefania Bazzoni, representing Italy, Alain de Cointet, representing France, Krystyna Gawlikowska-Hueckel, representing Bulgaria, Poland and Albania, Ole Hovland, representing Norway, Finland and Latvia, Jan Maas, representing Netherlands and Mongolia, Igor Podoliev, representing Ukraine, Romania, Moldova, Georgia and Armenia. EBRD is one of the largest investors in Moldova. The total volume of EBRD’s investments is over EUR400 million.
