OREANDA-NEWS. July 01, 2010. The final U6 offer of Russian and CIS summer-time destinations from Yekaterinburg is ready. Early in June, the summer flight to Simferopol was launched. In the summer month, A320 aircraft will fly there three times a week, on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays.

Other destinations in the Russian South are:

Sochi — daily during the whole summer until the beginning of the “Velvet Season” (early autumn). Anapa — in June, 5 times a week; and from July until the end of summer, 6 times weekly. Mineralnye Vody — twice a week. Krasnodar — twice a week.  Gelendzhik via Moscow — 3 times a week.

And several flights from Ekaterinburg to the capitals of CIS countries: Baku, Yerevan, Tashkent, Dushanbe.

The numbers of tourists going on their own to spend their holidays in CIS countries have been growing with every year. This can very often be explained by their being satiated with the standard European holiday-making itineraries. At night in the desert, our country-fellows are surprised to find themselves far from being alone there: European travel agencies have long been successfully selling tours to those places. The main contribution to the development of the travel industries of the CIS countries is provided by tourists from countries outside the former Soviet Union. The Great Silk Way, wildlife parks and the unique history of the less-known areas are enjoying more and more demand in Western Europe.
