OREANDA-NEWS. July 01, 2010. The results of Transaero Airlines operational performance for January-May provides evidence to support the airline's ongoing sustainable development as well as revealing a significant increase in performance over the same period last year.

Results for January – May 2010:

Transaero’s passenger turnover totaled 9,107 million RPK, 58.7% more than in the first five months of 2009

The number of passengers carried for the period totaled 2,083,295 individuals, a 52.6% increase over the first five months of 2009

The total amount of cargo carried increased to 12,421.73 tons, 40.5% more than during the first five months of 2009

Freight ton kilometers amounted to 890 million tkm, a 57.2% increase over the first five months of 2009.

Both domestic and international operations experienced growth in January-May 2010.

Domestic passenger turnover grew 35% and international passenger turnover grew 57%. Transaero Airlines carried 89% of all passengers on its regularly scheduled flights.
