OREANDA-NEWS. July 05, 2010. “IES”, CJSC enterprises have successfully passed the autumn-winter period of 2009-2010 and have started the preparation for the next heating season. The Company is planning to invest 12,95 billion Rubles in repair, technical re-equipment and reconstruction program. In 2010, IES generating companies will mainly reconstruct heating networks having significantly increased the investments volume for these purposes.

“Within the autumn-winter period all IES energy companies provided reliable and safe operation of equipment and continuous energy supply to consumers”, Andrey Vagner, the First Vice-President and Operational Director of IES underlined. 

IES pays special attention to the activity aimed at accident rates reduction. In whole on the Holding, the number of incidents caused by erroneous or incorrect actions of personnel reduced by 20% in comparison with the autumn-winter period of 2008-2009.

IES takes the leading positions in regards to introduction of innovation technologies at the generating facilities and heating networks actively applying new approaches to preparation for the autumn-winter period.

The modernization of boiler equipment with application of low-temperature vortex technology of fuel combustion, as well as modernization of water chemical treatment shops with the use of membrane technologies will go on. There will start the introduction of a special-purpose program on specific fuel consumption reduction.

Within the repair campaign of 2010 it is planned to replace in sum 148km of heat lines. At reconstruction, there will be widely used the up-to-date acoustic diagnosis methods and pipes with urethane foam isolation, and there will be provided for the installation of remote control on-line system. 

The volume of planned funds for the preparation for the autumn-winter period of 2010-2011 for Perm Branch (incorporated in “Generation of Urals” Division of IES) makes 620,7 million Rubles (101,5% in comparison with the previous year). Within the preparation for the autumn-winter period of 2010-2011 it is planned to perform 49 overhauls, medium and operating repairs of turbo-units with the total capacity of 1604,9 MW (125,6% in comparison with the previous year); 98 repairs of boiler-units with the total output of 20 815 tons/hour (114% in comparison with the previous year); 14 repairs of hot-water boilers with the capacity of 1 400 Gcal/hour (73,7% to the previous year). Besides it is planned to re-lay 8,1km of heating networks by the autumn-winter period of 2010/2011.
