OREANDA-NEWS. July 08, 2010. In April 2010, CJSC National Corporation EnergoStroyEngineering (NC ESE) completed the construction of a complex crossing on the Angara River within the framework of the project for the construction of a double-circuit 220 kV power line from 220 kV Priangarskaya substation to 220/110/6 kV Razdolinskaya substation, including modernizing of Razdolinskaya substation in the Boguchany district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. NC ESE has been the general contractor for this project since January 2009. The Customer of the project is Engineering and Construction Management Center of the Federal Grid Company of Unified Energy System (FGC UES).

The construction of the 220 kV power line from 220 kV Priangarskaya substation to 220/110/6 kV Razdolinskaya substation with expansion and upgrading of the latter is part of

a larger project for the construction of a 220 kV power transmission line for Boguchanskaya hydroelectric power station. The special crossing on the Angara River was one of the most difficult stages of the project implementation.

Works on the project were carried out by two companies: Novosibirsk-based OJSC Sibelektrosetstroy and Irkutsk-based OJSC Vostoksibelektrosetstroy. Both of these companies are part of NC ESE Group. The construction was carried out under extreme climatic conditions in remote areas. A complex transportation scheme, as well as short navigation period on the Angara, Yenisei and Tasey rivers significantly impeded the delivery of construction materials and equipment. To make foundation pits for the crossing supports the builders had to blow up rocks on the banks of the Angara River

Under the project, two 220 kV single-circuit crossing lines across the Angara River were constructed; their length is 1506 m and 1498 m respectively. Twelve К220-1+5 angle-tension tower supports manufactured by Belgorod-based Energomash company were installed, each one is 24.5 m high and weighs 42.6 tons. The supports were installed with the use of tilt-up and "falling boom" methods of construction.

According to General Director of NC ESE Leonid Delov, the company has vast experience in construction of various power lines and special water crossings. "NC ESE is general contractor for several major projects that have strategic importance for the development of power engineering systems in Siberia, the Urals and Middle Volga," - says Leonid Delov.
