OREANDA-NEWS. July 08, 2010. Gazprombank has transferred the first tranche to Ob’GasProcessing within a credit line to finance building of an associated gas treatment plant at an oil field in Khanty-Mansiysk – Yugra autonomous region.

Module plant will be located on the territory of Prirazlomnoe oil/gas field. License for the field exploitation belongs to RN-Yuganskneftegas, a subsidiary company of Rosneft. The project totals around USD 100 million, Gazprombank loan – USD 48 million.

The plant will be capable of treating up to 200 million cubic meters of associated gas yearly and produce up to 146 million cubic meters of dry topped gas, up to 116 thousand tons of propane/butane mix and up to 15.5 thousand tons of gas petrol.

“We consider that financing of plants to treat associated gas has rather good prospective, - highlighted Alexey Belous, Head of Gazprombank Department for project and structured financing. – Currently, a significant part of associated gas is burned which results in pollution of air and losses of valuable hydrocarbon raw materials – ethane, propane, butane and pentane. Obviously, in the nearest future, demand for financing of treating plants building will grow, the more so as starting from 2012 the Russian Government introduces maximum requirements to oil companies in terms of associated gas burn minimization”.
