OREANDA-NEWS. July 09, 2010. As it was informed in the National Bureau of Statistics, in particular, in June 2010 food prices reduced by 2.5%, non-food prices – by 0.01%, while prices for services rendered to the population grew by 1.3%. In whole, in January-June 2010 food products rose in price by 3.4%, non-food - by 4.6% and tariffs for services rendered to the population grew by 9%.

In June among the food items most of all reduced the prices for: new potato – by 25%, fresh vegetables – by 18.4% (including cabbage – by 35.7%, cucumbers – by 33%, tomatoes – by 14.9%, onion – by 11.1%), milk and dairy products – by 1.1% (including sheep cheese – by 3.2%), meat, meat products and tinned food – by 0.2% (including mutton – by 5.6%, pork – by 1.9%, beef – by 1.6%), fresh and frozen fish – by 0.4%.

In June the prices for the majority of non-food products didn’t changed. Light reduction of prices was registered for: fuel – by 1.3%, medicine – by 0.5%, women footwear and some household appliances – 0.3% each.

Among the services provided to the population, most of all in June have risen in price international railway passenger traffic - by 0.5%, housing and communal services - by 2.9%, including services for natural gas – by 7.8%, central heating – by 5.9 %, touristic services abroad – by 3.5%, theatre tickets – by 7.7%.

As it was previously reported, the government originally forecasted inflation of 5% for 2010; recently the National Bank raised the forecast of inflation this year to 10.8%.
