Evraz, Severstal and NLMC are competing for licenses for the Central Ulig-Hemskiy coal basin area. According to the data of Vedomosti, claims for participating in the competition ended July 2 on the 20-year license for the area at Central Ulug-Hemskiy coal basin in Tuva with the estimated balance deposit at the level of 639 mn tons (C1+C2). Four claims were filed – from Evrazholding, Severstal, NLMC and Stoylenskiy OMPE (controlled by NLMC). After the participants are admitted to the competition, they will deposit a single payment – 589 mn RUR, and than they will have to prepare projects of developing a deposit and that will solve the competition. Documents are to be accepted till August 13, the results will be announced September 21.
