OREANDA-NEWS. July 12, 2010. At the time, when there has been started the construction of the main push tug of the range which consists of 12 vessels at OJSC “Wadan Yards Okean”, experts of “NIBULON” have already negotiated the key details and signed the contracts on the supply of the equipment for the first six vessels of unique tugs project "POSS-115".

Main marine engines of "Mitsubishi" brand will be put by Dutch company “Midif Diesel”. Choice was made on a competitive basis, as marine engines of this brand are distinct for its high efficiency and relatively small mass. The quality of this equipment is known worldwide.

In addition, the contract on the supply of fuel separators of radial-flow type with the German company “GEA Westfalia Separator Systems GmbH” was signed. This equipment is the most space-saving in its class; service centers are located worldwide, including Ukraine. Moreover, due to its high quality, German company provided a guarantee for 24 months. Separators of German company meet high level of first-class European Marine Equipment.

Dutch company "Dutch Marine Trading" will supply deck equipment for “NIBULON’s” tugs (hand-knobs, anchors and chains). Also the Dutch from “Alewijnse Marine System” will provide electrical, radio and navigation equipment. The company deals not only with the supply of such equipment, but with its installation also.

“NIBULON” combines European experience and quality for the revival of the Ukrainian fleet. “NIBULON” is convinced that Ukrainian vessels should be constructed in accordance with high European level. Some equipment is purchased in Ukraine (ventilation and air conditioning system). The advantage of Dutch companies is availability of service departments in almost all ports of the world that is very important to maintain the technical condition of tugs of “river-sea” type.

“NIBULON” today has an excellent credit history and financial confidence of reliable international partners. That is why, the company gained the support of the first class financial institutions and governments of European countries for the revival of the Ukrainian fleet. In particular, due to the financial support of the credit fund “Atradius” on a security of Dutch government, 30 million Euros (!) were allocated for the purchase of tug equipment. Several companies from different countries tried to persuade the management o f “NIBULON” that they should not only provide equipment but also to construct “NIBULON’s” vessels, General Director of “NIBULON” Oleksiy Vadaturskyy as a true patriot has taken a firm position: Ukrainian vessels have to be constructed in Ukraine. That is why today these unique tugs are being constructed with Ukrainian metal at Mykolayiv shipbuilding yard “Wadan Yards Okean”.
