Ukraine’s UX index lost 0.43% yesterday to 1,974.77, closing out a fourth consecutive session in the red, even as most other bourses in Western Europe and Russia were positive (FTSE +0.66%, MICEX +1.67%, RTS +1.98%). Total equity turnover on the UX plummeted to UAH 41.4 mln (vs. previous five-day average of UAH 73.1 mln). Ukrnafta (UNAF UK) continued to anchor the index, sliding 0.83% on an index-leading volume of UAH 6.1 mln and 223 trades. Alchevsk Iron & Steel (ALMK UK) was one of the day’s worst performers, dropping 1.90% on UAH 5.3 mln and 140 trades. The PFTS made 0.16% in yesterday’s session to 795.20. On the interbank forex market, the hryvnya strengthened slightly to UAH/USD 7.9025.
