OREANDA-NEWS. July 14, 2010. Belarus’ international reserves, based on the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) methodology, went down 2.3% in January-June 2010 to USD 5.524 billion as of July 1, 2010, according the National Statistics Committee.

As of July 1, foreign currency reserves amounted to USD 3.192 billion, up 26.7% in the first six months, the amount of monetary gold reached the equivalent of USD 813.6 million, down 0.9%, and other assets were at USD 974.3 million, down 43.8%.

Special drawing rights were at USD 543.6 million as of July 1, down 6% from January 1, 2010. Belarus’ IMF reserve position is at USD 0 million, showing no change

In 2009, Belarus’ reserves went up by USD 2.591 billion, or 84.7%. This year, international reserves are projected to rise by USD 500 million-USD 1.83 billion.
