OREANDA-NEWS. July 14, 2010. The World Bank (WB) will soon start working out a new country strategy for Belarus for 2012-2015, WB Resident Representative in Belarus Ivan Velev told.

Velev said the general directions of the strategy would remain unchanged: the program will focus on structural reform and infrastructure development projects of the government.

“The strategy will envisage financing at least at the level of the current program. Specific financial will be identified later – it is connected with WB recapitalization,” he explained.

The WB’s adjusted strategy for 2008-2011 has increased the possible annual financing volume to USD 250 million from USD 100 million.
