The biggest truss will be 94 meters long, while the smallest one – 54 meters long. The metal structures of the dome will be supported by a solid reinforced concrete beam.

This June two 100-ton cranes have been shipped to the construction site from the Far East. By now they have been assembled and made fully prepared for erecting the metal structures of the dome, which is scheduled for mid-July.

Concrete casting of floor structures of the Ice Palace’s upper floor, which is located at the height of 27 meters above the ground level, is currently being finished by the NGO Mostovik engineers. The height of the building, including the substructure, now reaches nearly 37 meters. The builders have begun working on the foundations for two reinforced concrete stairways. The spectators will use them to get into the building that will host hockey matches during the 2014 Olympic Games.
