OREANDA-NEWS. July 20, 2010.  IBA Group set up a representative office in Astana, Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan became the eighth country in the world where IBA Group has its presence, reported the press-centre of IBA.       

Since 1996, IBA has been implementing a number of large-scale projects in Central Asia on railway automation for Turkmen, Uzbek, and Kazakh Railways. IBA boasts its successful cooperation with government bodies and private companies of the region, including the Ministry of State Revenues of Kazakhstan, Atyrausky Oil Refinery, and Uzbek Gold Concern.
Since 2009, IBA has been developing for Kazakh Railway an automated management system based on DB2 and IBM WebSphere. In July 2010, IBA won the tender for a solution to modify the electronic workflow system (EWS) of the state governing bodies of Kazakhstan.

Opening its representative office in Kazakhstan, IBA plans to promote its products and solutions at the Kazakh market. Giennady Molchanov, IBA Sales Director for the CIS, comments: “Currently, all Kazakh government bodies, public organizations, and private enterprises are in need of IT solutions, and IBA has a number of cutting-edge IT products and solutions to offer. Especially since IBA has proved to be a reliable vendor throughout multiple projects in many countries of the world. In Kazakhstan, we will invest a lot of effort to respond to the challenges and to strengthen our reputation”.
