In the Serdar Hotel in the Avaza national tourism zone on the Caspian seashore President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received the high-ranking representatives of the Deutsche Bank AG Jurgen Fitschen, a member of Deutsche Bank's Management Board and Peter Tils, CEO Central and Eastern Europe of Deutsche Bank AG.

Greeting heartily the leader of the Turkmen state, the guest expressed gratitude for the opportunity to discuss the major aspects of long-term mutually advantageous partnership during a personal meeting. The guests said that Deutsche Bank AG was proud of cooperation with dynamically developing Turkmenistan and interested in enhancing further bilateral collaboration.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said that having launched fundamental reforms, Turkmenistan endeavoured to develop international cooperation and in this regard attached particular significance to adoption of best international practice in management and advanced technologies and purchase of state-of-the-art equipment. In this regard the Turkmen leader stated with satisfaction that a number of the leading German companies partnering with Deutsche Bank had been actively collaborated with Turkmenistan for many years in implementing important national projects.

During the meeting the sides exchanged views on the prospects and possibilities for enhancing bilateral cooperation in the framework of large-scale reforms taking place in Turkmenistan. Noting that Deutsche Bank AG was interested in expanding further business partnership, Mr. Jurgen Fitschen said that the key factors underling this interest included extreme attractiveness of the Turkmen market and the conditions conducive to business activity including the favourable investment climate. In this context the guests noted that the German business circle stood ready to offer their expertise, innovations and advanced technologies in various fields to Turkmenistan. The priority fields included the banking and financial sphere and the fuel and energy sector.

Thanking for such a constructive approach to partnership, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said the vast opportunities were opened up today for effective cooperation between Turkmenistan and Germany.

In conclusion the guests thanked the Turkmen leader for the opportunity to visit the Avaza national tourism zone and expressed sincere admiration with the unique architectural ensemble of the comfortable seaside resort on the Caspian seashore. The top managers of Deutsche Bank AG assured the Turkmen leader that they would spare no effort to enhance and expand further mutually advantageous long-term partnership.
