OREANDA-NEWS. July 22, 2010. Evgeny Tutkevich graduated Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MIGIMO University) with a degree in international currency and credit relations. With a banking career that stretches back some 17 years, Uniastrum’s CEO-in-waiting has held a number of senior management positions at Raiffeisen Bank, MDM Bank, and Russian Standard Bank, specializing in retail and corporate-side operations and regional business development, reported the press-centre of Uniastrum Bank.

“Uniastrum Bank is part of the Bank of Cyprus Group, a major international holding with a successful track record that dates back well over 100 years. By tapping into the Group’s in-depth knowledge and experience, Uniastrum is continuing to forge ahead as a universal, hi-tech bank, steadily improving its performance in both retail and corporate segments,” notes Evgeny Tutkevich. “Personally, I will find it a stimulating challenge to apply the skills I gained at foreign banks in Russia to sustaining Uniastrum’s successful upward trajectory.”

“We are confident that Mr. Tutkevich’s professionalism, as well as his knowledge and experience of working in Russian and Western banking environments, will be put to good use here at Uniastrum Bank,” says Bank President Gagik Zakaryan. “With Evgeny on board, we anticipate even better results and bigger profit margins.”

“The Bank of Cyprus Group looks forward to Evgeny Tutkevich becoming Uniastrum’s Chairman of the Management Board and joining our dedicated, integrated team. We have no doubt that his expertise and achievements in the world of banking will play an important part in our efforts to boost our presence throughout Russia,” says Kyriacos Iacovides, the Bank of Cyprus’s General Manager for New Markets.

With the appointment of Evgeny Tutkevich, Oleg Shvetsov, Uniastrum Bank’s Acting Chairman of the Management Board, will resume his duties as First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board.
