OREANDA-NEWS. July 22, 2010. Russian Railways held open auction No. A-32 for the sale of 23 210 grain cars in two lots of 11,605 wagons, reported the press-centre of Russian Railways.

The auction was carried out without prior visual inspection with the condition that they had been maintained in good condition.

The starting price for the first lot was 1.81 billion roubles and 1.811 billion roubles for the second.

Four bidders took part in the auctions for each lot, with RusTransKom emerging as winner of the first and Rusagrotrans for the second.

Representatives of Russia’s Federal Antimonopoly Service and Ministry of Agriculture were present as observers but had no comments on the procedures at the auctions.
