OREANDA-NEWS. July 23, 2010. Belarus’ fruit and vegetable juice imports increased 8% on the year in January-May 2010, to 12,582 tonnes worth USD 15.849 million, up 8.2% on the year in value terms, the Statistics Committee told.

Russian juice imports went up 2.3% on the year to 5,282 tonnes, which cost USD 5.751 million, an increase of 9.3%.

Imports from Ukraine rose 53.2% in January-May to 2,892 tonnes worth USD 2.229 million, a rise by 21.7%, and from Azerbaijan reached 124.981 tonnes, down 18.3%, worth USD 437,400, up 38.9%.

The main non-CIS suppliers were Israel with 2,466 tonnes, up 6.1%, worth USD 4.389 million, up 3.1%, and Brazil with 473.275 tonnes to the amount of USD 928,100.
