OREANDA-NEWS. July 23, 2010. Freight One hauled more than 500,000 tons of sugar to Central Russia, the Urals, the Volga Region and Siberia on the Southeastern Railway to retailers and food makers in the first six months of 2010, an increase of 59% over the same period of last year.

According to Alexander Gerasimov, Director of Freight One’s Voronezh Branch, taking into account the reduction in the imports of raw sugar from abroad and increased production of sugar at Central Chernozem plants from locally-grown plants, the prospects for this kind of haulage are quite good.
