OREANDA-NEWS. July 27, 2010. Ukraine International Airlines was the first airline in Ukraine to offer online check-in for scheduled flights– starting April, 2009 this service became available for passengers on domestic flights and from June, 2009 onwards – for passengers on international flights. Now this service is also offered to charter flights passengers, reported the press-centre of UIA.

To check in for a charter flight online, a passenger should visit the UIA web-site www.flyUIA.com, identify himself/herself by surname, name, flight number and departure date. While checking in online passengers also have the opportunity to choose their seats on board. Having completed the check-in procedure, the passenger then receives a boarding pass with a special bar-code to their email address. This boarding pass should be printed out and is the equivalent of the traditional boarding pass issued at the check-in desk at the airport.

Online check in is opened 23 to 1 hour prior to the scheduled flight departure.

"UIA continues expanding its range of services available at the airline's website, – said UIA Director on Information Technologies Vladimir Tepikin. – Now our charter flight passengers going on holidays can pre-select the most comfortable seats on board one day prior the departure – thus, the beginning of the holiday becomes more pleasant and comfortable. Besides, check-in online helps simplify the airport formalities, reduces waiting time, avoids queues at the check-in desk and makes it possible to arrive at the airport closer to the departure time".
