OREANDA-NEWS. July 27, 2010. Accumulative Pension Fund GRANTUM (Subsidiary of Kazkommertsbank) (Almaty), a member of Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) stock market, provided to KASE he following press release, reported the press-centre of KASE:

According to the official data of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Regulation and Supervision of Financial Market and Financial Organizations (FSA RK) as of July 1, 2010, the nominal income (K2) coefficient of GRANTUM made up 10.10%, having exceeded not only similar indicators of other accumulative pension funds, but also the accumulated inflation rate (6.80%).

The investment activities positive dynamics of GRANTUM is conditioned by the Fund adherence to the conservative investment strategy: balanced approach to risk management and balanced structure of its investment portfolio, the significant portion of which consists of reliable government securities of the Republic of Kazakhstan and high rated securities of Kazakhstan and foreign issuers.

The number of served GRANTUM depositors from the year beginning increased by 26.9 thousand and made up as of July 1, 2010 217,447 people. For this period the growth of the Fund depositors made up 14.1% that is one of the highest indicators across the accumulative pension system. Accumulated pensions of the Fund depositors increased by more than KZT19.4 bn and made up as of July 1, 2010 - KZT127.9 bn. During many years GRANTUM is the leader among average accumulated pensions per capita, which as of July 1, 2010 made up KZT588.3 th.

The "net" investment profit of GRANTUM, accrued to depositors accounts in the first half of 2010 made up KZT4.7 bn, for the similar the price appreciation per pension unit exceeded 4.16%.

One of the important events occurred in April-May 2010 was the increase of its authorized capital  from KZT1 bn to KZT3.2 bn. as a result the Fund own capital as of July 1, 2010 exceeded KZT5.2 bn, having increased from the year beginning by 90.3%. Undivided income from the year beginning made up KZT0.3 bn that proves the Fund financial sustainability and availability of sufficient reserves for its further dynamic development.

Another important events is that the Fund on May 7, 2010 received the license for attraction of pension contributions, pensions payment and activities on the securities market # 3.2.19/38/41, issued by FSA RK. The license allows:

1. activities implementation to attract pension contributions and pensions payment;

2. activities implementation of the securities market:

   - brokerage-dealer activities on the securities market without the right to keep clients accounts as a nominee holder;

   - pensions assets investment management.

As a result on June 9, 2010, by Kazakhstan Stock Exchange Board of Directors decision GRANTUM entered the stock market membership (entitled to trade securities, admitted to exchange trading).

These events show that the Fund in order to improve its investment activities efficiency plans to independently manage pension assets. In the future, GRANTUM shall maintain the existing investment strategy aimed at saving and stable increase of depositors pensions.
