OREANDA-NEWS. July 27, 2010. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed on July 20, 2010 at the Farnborough-2010 Air Show between the ANTONOV Company and Pamodzi Investment Holdings and Denel Aviation. The document confirms the intention of the parties to join efforts in the promotion of the ANTONOV airplanes in the African continent market and to establish a centre for maintenance and overhauls of the airplanes. According to D.S. Kiva, ANTONOV President – General Designer, “our company pays considerable attention to the establishment of an efficient structure for the ANTONOV aircraft after-sale support and overhauls. The signing of today’s Memorandum is one of the significant steps in this direction. Working in the interests of our customer, we are doing our best to assure the most favourable conditions for operation of our airplanes”.

“We are working with a number of companies of the world and have long been intending to enter into cooperation with Ukraine and Russia. Today, it has become possible owing to ANTONOV” – said Ndaba Ntsele, СЕО of Pamodzi Investment Holdings.

Mr. Mike Kgobe, CEO, Denel Aviation, notes that his company "has more than 45 years of experience in the overhauls and maintenance of aircraft. Working under the aegis of the SAR Ministry of Defence, we have for years been dealing with military aircraft. Today we are expanding our sphere of activities and are also working with civil airplanes. In this sense, cooperation with ANTONOV is very important for us”.
