OREANDA-NEWS. August 2, 2010. Over the first six months of 2010, Business Unit Ilim West (the Koryazhma Branch) has manufactured 492 thousand tons of pulp and paper products, up 14% compared to the same period last year.

This includes 159 thousand tons of market pulp, which is a 28% percent increase from the similar period performance in the previous year.

Market containerboard production has gained 12%, amounting to 235 thousand tons.

Paper production has amounted to 98 thousand tons, which is roughly equal to the output in the similar period of the previous year. A total of 28 thousand tons of sack paper, 55 thousand tons of offset paper and 15 thousand tons of paper for wallpaper manufacturing purposes were produced.

Pulp cooking gained 12% compared with the first half last year, amounting to 515 thousand tons.

The Koryazhma Branch was provided with 2,160 thousand cubic meters of wood, representing a 4% increase for the same period year on year.

The total output of Ilim Gofra during the first half amounted to 44,246 thousand m2 of products (corrugated board, boxes), demonstrating a 74% increase from the amount produced over the similar period of the previous year.
