OREANDA-NEWS. August 5, 2010. As part its international route network expansion, UTair Aviation has announced the launch of daily scheduled flights from Moscow (Vnukovo) to Riga beginning August 16.

The flights will be operated on comfortable Bombardier СRJ-200 aircraft with Economy and Business classes. Departure from Moscow will take place at 21:10 and departure from Riga will be at 06:15 – all times local.

Well-thought flight scheduling and convenient connecting flights at Vnukovo Airport support a minimum stopover time before short and comfortable flight to the capital of Latvia from 55 cities of Russia and abroad. Passengers can also save money by purchasing tickets at special cross-cutting rates on connecting flights through Vnukovo.

Passengers participating in UTair’s STATUS frequent flyer program are eligible for all the benefits offered within the program, including complimentary airfare in exchange for flight-miles posted for every flight, and for other applicable benefits.

The UTair operational forecast for 2010 expects a total of 300,000 flight hours logged by UTair planes and helicopters. More than 100 aircraft and 200 helicopters of various types and classes will be involved in realization of the flight operations. In 2010, the airline expects to serve more than 4.8 million passengers, 34% more than in 2009. Helicopter operations will be expanding in Russia and eleven foreign countries. The export of helicopter services is expected to see an annual increase of 3.8%.
