OREANDA-NEWS. August 5, 2010. JSC SITRONICS, the leading telecom, information technologies and microelectronics solutions provider in Russia and CIS joined the consortium of companies participating in Coordination and Support Action for Global RFID-related Activities and Standardization – CASAGRAS2. The project is financed by the European Union. The experts of SITRONICS shall represent the interests of Russia in the Action.

The goal of CASAGRAS2 is to develop the unified and standardized Internet Of Things (IoT) platform. The above platform consolidates various ready-made solutions as well as lays down the regulations for brand-new solutions development to build a "smart city", where data exchange between the machines (M2M, Machine-to-Machine) is held human aidlessly. Standardization is applicable to various devices: from RFID-tags to compound electronic equipment. IoT platform development objective is to integrate and globalize such solutions taking into account technology specialties in different countries.

CASAGRAS2 Global Action is supposed to be implemented within 2 years. Under the Action the experts of SITRONICS shall prepare Russian RFID-technology state and development review as well as take an active part in a number of global RFID-standards R&D events.

"SITRONICS joined CASAGRAS2 to participate in the work over the significant international program on Internet of Things platform development. Interaction between the self-operating devices will allow to create new anthropogenic environment for an individual in due course, which will be better adapted to his needs and external conditions, - notes Vice-President on New Technologies of SITRONICS Mikhail Minkovsky. – At present new technologies of M2M interaction are relevant not merely for specific tasks, but also for mass Information and Communication Technologies market. Their development is restrained by the lack of international technical standards system, therefore our company takes part in CASAGRAS2 Action".
