OREANDA-NEWS. August 10, 2010. The Federal Arbitration Court of the Moscow District dismissed the claim of "Voronovo Malting Plant" CJSC on invalidating the determination of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia), which had imposed administrative charges upon the company for failure to submit information. Earlier the Appeal Court also supported the decision of the Antimonopoly Service, reported the press-centre of FAS.

The company was fined 300,000 Rubles for committing the antimonopoly violation.

Information requested by FAS Russia was needed to determine the level of exceeding the necessary costs and profit in production of brewer's light barley malt as part of the antimonopoly investigation of the group of persons of "Russky Solod" OJSC.

On 24th August 2009, FAS Russia found that the companies of the group of persons of "Russky Solod" OJCS violated Article 10 of the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition" (abusing market dominance). In 2008 the group of persons, including "Russky Solod" Trading Company" Ltd., "Voronovo Malting Plant" CJSC, "Ostrogozhsk Malting Plant" CJSC, and "Orel Malting Plant" CJSC, fixed monopolistically high price for brewer's light barley malt (used for brewing).
