OREANDA-NEWS. August 10, 2010. The deficit of trade balance of Moldova in January-June 2010 amounted to USD1 billion 055,1 million, increasing in comparison with the same period of 2009 by 15% (USD138 million). As it was informed in the National Bureau of Statistics, particularly, in January-June 2010 the volume of Moldova’s exports amounted to USD621 million, increasing by 6,9%, as compared to the same period of 2009.

At the same time, the volume of exports to the CIS countries amounted to USD238,1 million, exceeding the indices of January-June 2009 by 14,8%. The deliveries of Moldavian goods to the EU countries reduced by 3,4% - up to USD303,2 million.

The share of the CIS countries in the total volume of Moldova’s exports in this period increased from 35,7% up to 38,3%, and the share of the EU countries – reduced from 54,1% up to 48,8%. The volume of imports to Moldova in January-June 2010 amounted to USD1 billion 676,1 million, increasing by 11,9%, as compared to the same period of 2009. A the same time, the import from the CIS countries reduced by 3,9% - up to USD538,2 million, and from the EU countries – increased by 18,3% - up to USD739,6 million.

The share of the CIS countries in the total volume of Moldova’s imports reduced in this period from 37,4% up to 32,1%, and of the EU countries - increased from 41,7% up to 44,1%. The deficit of trade balance of Moldova with the EU countries in January-June 2010 increased by 40,3% - up to USD436,4 million, and with the CIS countries – reduced by 15% - up to USD300,1 million.

The largest deficit of trade balance in January-June 2010 Moldova had with the Ukraine - USD178,3 million, followed by: China - USD 129,8 million, Russia - USD 121,5 million, Germany - USD 94,6 million, Romania - USD 61,6 million, Italy - USD 54,4 million, Turkey - USD 47 million, Brazil - USD 39,6 million, Greece - USD 29,1 million, Poland - USD 26,8 million. The data of the National Bureau of Statistics doesn’t include trade and economic operations of enterprises from the Transnistrian region.
