OREANDA-NEWS. August 10, 2010. Trade flows through Commercial Seaport of Vladivostok (CPV JSC) increased in January-July by 25.2%, to 3,966.900 tons, the CPV’s press service said.

According to the company’s seven-month report, Vladivostok seaport handled 2,306,900 tons of exports, 777.600 tons of imports and 882.500 tons of short sea trade.
 
In Jan-Jun., container throughput totaled 178,554 TEUs, including 66,496 TEUs of exports, 53,160 TEUs of imports, and 58,898 TEUs of coastal traffic. In the reporting period CPV handled 1,759 ships and 53,857 rail cars. The seven-month average daily throughput at the port amounted to 18,712.1 tons of cargo and 254.04 railcars.

CPV transshipped in July 584.900 tons, including 317,200 tons of outbound goods, 130,200 tons of inbound cargo, and 137,500 tons of short sea trade.
 
In July the stevedoring company handled 30,276 TEUs of containerized cargoes. The volume includes 12,453 TEUs of exported containers, 9,162 TEUs of imports and 8,661 TEUs of coastal traffic.  CPV handled 278 ships and 9,831 railcars. In July, the port was transshipping daily 18, 869.6 tons of cargo and handling 317.13 cars, a significant daily throughput increase.
 
Vladivostok Commercial Sea Port OJSC, part of FESCO Transport Group, owns and operates its assets at the port of Vladivostok, one of the largest seaports in the Russia’s Far East. CPV’s portfolio of assets includes 17 berths with facilities for transshipment of grain, containerized cargoes, to handle passenger vessels, and autos. Last year’s throughput of the stevedoring company rose by 4.9% year-over-year, to 6.205.100 tons of cargo.
