OREANDA-NEWS. August 11, 2010. As it was informed in the National Bureau of Statistics, in particular, in July 2010 the food prices reduced by 1,9%, non-food prices – by 0,1%, while prices for services rendered to the population grew by 0,3%.

In whole, in January-July 2010 food products rose in price by 1,4%, non-food - by 4,4% and tariffs for services rendered to the population grew by 9,3%. In July among the food items most of all reduced the prices for: new potato – by 17%, fresh vegetables – by 15,8% (including cucumbers – by 41%, onion – by 34,3%, tomatoes – by 29,5%, sweet pepper – by 23,8%, cabbage – by 22,3%), fresh fruit (including peaches and plums – by 15,5% each), pork, beef, poultry meat – by 0,5% each, fresh and frozen fish – by 0,4%, milk and sour-cream – by 0,2% each.

The prices for the majority of non-food products didn’t change in July. Light reduction in prices was registered for: medicines – by 2%, clothes, footwear, furniture – by 0,4% each. Among the services rendered to the population, most of all in July have risen in price the touristic services abroad – by 13,6%, international railway passenger traffic - by 3,4%, air transportation – by 2%. As it was previously reported, the National Bank of Moldova reduced the forecast of inflation for 2010 by 2,5 pp – up to 8,2%. The International Monetary Fund forecasts for 2010 the level of inflation in Moldova on the level of 9,3%.
