Currently the final cost of 1 square meter of housing is unknown; it will be promulgated after estimation of expenditures.

According to preliminary calculations, the families that want to purchase 1-room apartment within the Prima Casa program must have minimal income amounting to 4 thousand leis, with monthly payment of 2 thousand, 2-room – 6 thousand and 3 thousand leis and 3-room apartments – 8 thousand and 4 thousand leis.

Let us recall, earlier the head of the Financial Department Veronica Herta communicated that users of the program might be state employees, young families and persons, queued on the housing receipt in the courts, making up 60 thousand of persons, and the selection criteria would be: housing conditions, status, health condition, time limits for application, education. In the frame of Prima Casa program, launched by the Chisinau City Hall, the building companies will construct the houses at their own expense.

After that, the commercial banks will grant the credits to the citizens, and the City Hall will guarantee the payment of bank rates and credits return. The persons interested in such loan will have to prepay, and the interest rate on credit will be below average. The Mayor General Dorin Chirtoaca said that the approximate cost of 1 square meter of housing would be 300-400 Euro in white variant, and 400-500 Euros - "turnkey". The square of 1-room apartments will be up to 40 square meters, 2-room - up to 60 square meters, 3-room - up to 80 square meters.
