OREANDA-NEWS. August 13, 2010. Exposition of Kuban wine-enterprises will be organized at the international Agro –Industrial fair “Agrorus 2010” by the Krasnodar Department of wine-making, viticulture and gardening. The event will take place in “Lenexpo” complex ion August 23-29, 2010.

At present Krasnodar Region grows over a half of all Russian grapes; every second bottle of wine also comes from Kuban. Regional wine-makers have re-equipped their factories, improved technology, brought foreign oenology-consultants and learned how to make the product, which meets all world quality standards. Product competitive capacity has already been proved by high quality ratings, provided by the world famous wine-critics.  Such international recognition by product critics and experts confirms the fact, that this Region has appropriate conditions and potential for a high-quality viticulture and wine-making.

In 2009 sweet table wine “Ice Myskhako” (vintage of 2007) by “Myskhako” CSC was granted a silver medal at the International Contest, organized within the framework of London International Wine Fair 2009; two bronze medals were given to “Chateau Le Grand Vostock Royal Oak 2005” and “Chateau Le Grand Vostock Cabernet Saperavi 2007”, manufactured by JSC “Aurora”.

In May 2010 bronze medals of the same contest have been received by CSC “Abrau-Dyurso” for its Russian Champagne “Imperial Art Nouveau” and seasoned sparkling red wine; JSC “Aurora” for “Chateau Le Grand Vostock Royal Oak ” white ( vintage of 2008) and Chateau Le Grand Vostock Cuvee Karsov” red (vintage of 2007), CSC “Myskhako” for their red “Cabernet Myskhako Grand Reserve” ( vintage of 2006) and white “Chardonnay Myskhako Grand Reserve” of 2008.

Krasnodar Region stands for the identification of all high-quality wines and is now working on the joint brand name “Kuban Wines-the Pride of Russia”. This trademark can be obtained by the enterprises, which manufacture quality wines from Kuban vintage.

“Agrorus 2010” participants and visitors will get a chance to taste real organic wines, manufactured under a thorough technological control.
