OREANDA-NEWS. August 17, 2010. David John has been named Partner and head of Tax and Legal Services with PricewaterhouseCoopers Russia, reported the press-centre of PricewaterhouseCoopers.  

David John was born in 1962 in Welwyn Garden City, United Kingdom. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Manchester in 1985 and speaks Russian and French.

David began his career in 1985 as an audit trainee at the accounting firm Beever and Struthers. In 1988 he joined Price Waterhouse as a consultant in the firm’s Manchester office, where he worked until 1995, rising to the position of senior manager. David then transferred to PwC Russia, where he was named a Partner in the area of corporate taxation in the firm’s Moscow office (1995-2000). In 2000 he returned to the UK to continue his career in the same role at PwC’s Birmingham office. Five years later, he was named head of the firm’s tax practice. Since 2007 David has headed the firm’s practice serving publicly listed companies in the United Kingdom, working from both the London and Birmingham offices.

David John is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales as well as the Chartered Institute of Taxation.
