OREANDA-NEWS. August 17, 2010. The inspections held by Rostekhnadzor Federal Service Commission and Rosatom State Corporation Department Commission confirmed that the physical security system of nuclear materials established at Ural Electrochemical Plant meets the highest up-to-date requirements.

According to Head of Regime and Security Department of UEIP OJSC Rashid Yuldashev, “in particular, the authorities of Rosatom State Corporation and UEIP OJSC pay much attention to the issues of physical and antiterrorist security of the enterprise”.

“Ural Electrochemical Plant performs the modernization of the physical security systems with due account to unique innovative technologies. High estimation of our activity is a proof of our deliberate and systematic work on development of the physical security system, which has been performed at the plant since 1996. Moreover, it is a proof of the plant managerial competence and professionalism of the personnel, who implement this process”, R. Uldashev stressed.

In 2002–2010 about 1 billion rubles was invested in the works related to organization of the physical security system of UEIP OJSC (subsidiary enterprise of Rosatom State Corporation).

The works on the plant security assurance also involve international cooperation. In particular, since 1996 UEIP OJSC has been actively and successfully cooperating with national laboratories of the U.S. Ministry of Energy.
