OREANDA-NEWS. August 18, 2010. Moscow Domodedovo Airport and its partner airline Transaero are glad to announce the launch of scheduled flights to Varadero (Cuba). Effective from July 30 2010 the flights are operated twice a week by Boeing B767-300 according to the following schedule:

Varadero is a unique destination for Moscow Aviation Hub: one can fly from Moscow to Cuban Varadero only from Domodedovo airport while Transaero Airlines has become the only airline operating non-stop direct flights between Moscow and one of the largest resorts in the Caribbean.

Moscow Domodedovo Airport has been a base airport for Transaero since 2001 and the airline’s share in the overall volume of Domodedovo passenger traffic makes 23 %.

Moscow Domodedovo Airport is the largest airport of Russia. Its market share in total passenger traffic in Moscow Aviation Hub makes 46%. At the moment 77 partner airlines (48 foreign including 12 representing the CIS States and 29 Russian) connecting over 233 destinations operate flights all over the world. The unique route network covered by Domodedovo partner airlines provides for 93 exclusive destinations. In 2009 18,7 million passengers benefited from Domodedovo services.
