OREANDA-NEWS. August 19, 2010. Belarus’ consumer prices went up 0.3% on the month in July 2010, compared to a rise by 0.2% in June, 0.8% in May, 0.7% in April, 1.1% in March, 0.5% in February and 0.8% in January, an official in the National Statistics Committee told.

Prices rose 4.4% in January-July 2010, compared to 7.7% in January-July 2009.

In annualized terms, that is, July on July, consumer prices rose 6.7%, which compares to 12.9% in the period July 2008 through July 2009.

Food prices rose 0.2% in July 2010 and 4.3% in January-July 2010, non-food prices went up 0.1% and 5.1%, and consumer services prices increased 0.8% and 3.8%.

In 2009, inflation accelerated 10.1%. The forecast for 2010 stands at 9%-10%.
