OREANDA-NEWS. August 19, 2010. Belarusian foreign trade deficit amounted to USD 2.391 billion in January-June 2010, compared to a deficit of USD 3.035 billion in January-June 2009, according to the website of the National Bank of Belarus.

Overall turnover of commodities and services reached USD 29.154 billion in January-June 2010, up 19.6% on the year.

Exports of commodities and services increased 25.5% to USD 13.381 billion, and imports increased 15.1% to USD 15.772 billion.

Commodity trade deficit reached USD 3.311 billion in the first six months of the year (USD 11.288 billion of exports and USD 14.599 billion of imports), and service trade surplus amounted to USD 920.1 million (USD 2.094 billion of exports and USD 1.174 billion of imports).
