OREANDA-NEWS. August 19, 2010. Belarus’ international reserves, based on the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) methodology, went down 5.7% in January-July 2010 to USD 5.332 billion as of August 1, 2010, according the National Statistics Committee.

As of August 1, foreign currency reserves amounted to USD 2.947 billion, up 16.9% in the first seven months, the amount of monetary gold reached the equivalent of USD 821 million, down 0.01%, and other assets were at USD 1.004 billion, down 42.1%.

Special drawing rights were at USD 559.9 million as of August 1, down 3.2% from January 1, 2010. Belarus’ IMF reserve position is at USD 0 million, showing no change

In 2009, Belarus’ reserves went up by USD 2.591 billion, or 84.7%. This year, international reserves are projected to rise by USD 500 million-USD 1.83 billion.
