OREANDA-NEWS. August 20, 2010. According to the Bureau for Reintegration of Moldova, as compared to January-July 2008 it shrank by 52%.

Particularly, metal products exports from the Transdniestrian region during 7 months of 2010 amounted to USD132,6 million and increased in comparison with the same period of 2009 by 66%, and decreased by 60% as compared with the same period of 2008. It made up near 52% of total exports from the Transdniestrian region in January-July 2010.

The volume of light industry exports in this period amounted to 29,4% of total exports and increased in comparison with the exports volume for January-July of the last year by 22% - up to USD 75,09 million. During this period the volume of exports of engineering and electrical engineering industries increased in comparison with January-July 2009 by 85% - up to USD 21,3 million and exports of alcohol beverages - by 50% - up to USD 2,3 million.

At the same time, in January-July 2010 as compared with the same period of the last year, export volumes for the remaining commodity groups decreased: agricultural products – by 31% - up to USD 9,2 million, electricity - by 68% - up to USD 9,5 million. In January-July 2010, the largest part of Transdniestrian goods was delivered to EU countries (41,3% of the total exports), while exports to CIS countries (mainly to Russia and the Ukraine) amounted to 36,9% of the total volume.
