OREANDA-NEWS. August 20, 2010.  According to the National Commission of Financial Market, this was the result of sharper reduction of income (by 51,7% - up to 33,4 million leis) as compared to reduction of expenses (by 37,4% - up to 43,7 million leis).

The interest income on issued loans during the reporting period reduced by 28,6% - up to 42,6 million leis and the losses from reserves creation and write-off increased by 5,7 million leis – up to 23,5 million leis as compared to the results of II quarter of 2009.

As of June 30, 2010 the total loans volume, issued to members of association, amounted to 350,5 million leis, reducing by 28,7% as compared to the end of II quarter of 2009. In the structure of loans portfolio of associations the loans up to 1 year accounted for 81,8% of the total volume of issued loans.

The joint savings deposits, attracted from own members, as of June 30, 2010 accounted for 91,3 million leis, increasing by 51,2% as compared to indices of the same period of 2009. In the total volume of savings deposits the largest share fell to deposits from 3 months to 1 year – 85,3%. The share of deposits from 1 year to 3 years made up 9,5% of savings deposits.

The financing rate of issued loans from attracted savings deposits accounted for 26,1%, increasing by 13,8 pp as compared to 2009. As at the end of II quarter of 2010, the joint volume of associations’ assets amounted to 383,5 million leis, reducing by 28,8% as compared to the same period of 2009.

The joint own capital of association as of June 30, 2010 amounted to 78,7 million leis, reducing by 20,3% as compared to the same period of 2009. As of June 30, 2010, 398 associations have licenses; out of them 369 associations have submitted the reports. 356 associations issued loans to their members, 287 associations took banking credits and external loans, and 64 associations of B category were attracted by savings deposits.

248 associations attracted new members, registering the membership fee to the total amount of 563,2 thousand leis, in II quarter of 2010. The number of associations’ members as of June 30, 2010 increased as compared to the same period of 2009 by 0,9% - up to 126,5 thousand persons, and the number of loans recipients made up 40,7 thousand persons, reducing by 25,2% as compared to June 30, 2009. The number of savings depositors accounted for 6,25 thousand persons or by 6,9% less than in the same period of 2009.
