OREANDA-NEWS. August 25, 2010. Ranking of tender for the open contest „Purchasing of Construction Works of the Object “Reconstruction of Quays No. 66-67 with Extension of Quays No. 66a-67a. II Construction Stage – Construction of Extension of Quays No. 66a-67a” with Local Engineering Nets” was produced and the winner of the contest was established, reported the press-centre of Klaipeda Port.  
 
The envelopes of this open contest were opened on the 22 of June, 2010. Eight offers to reconstruct quays No. 66-67 with extension of quays No. 66a-67a in the vicinity of the territory rented by KJKK “Bega” were submitted for this contest. The list of the bidders did not include any purely Lithuanian company. The bidders participating in the contest were either consortiums of Lithuanian companies with the companies of other countries or foreign undertakings from Poland, Russia, Latvia, Germany, Finland, Denmark and Estonia.
 
Quays No. 66a and 67a will be a pier designated to cargo handling works. The length of the pier will be 236,80 metres, the width – 30 metres, the depth – up to 13 metres (in prospect up to 14,5 metres). The calculated price of works was approximately 90 million litas.
On the 12 of August, 2010,a ranking of tender was produced and the winner was established:
 
The I place – Josef Mobius Bau-Aktiengesellschalf, the price of the offer was 51 999 991,38 Lt including all costs and taxes.

The II place – AB „BMGS“, operating under the joint activity contract with UAB „Hidrostatyba“, the price of the offer was 62 661 540,21 Lt including all costs and taxes.

The III place – Hydrobudowa Gdansk SA, operating under the joint activity contract with UAB „Keliu remonto grupe“ and UAB „Garant“,  the price of the offer was 65 482 215,56 Lt Lt including VAT.

The IV place – Terramare Oy,, the price of the offer was 75 896 003,00 Lt including VAT

The V place – PER AARSLEFF A/S, operating under the joint activity contract with AS Merko Ehitus, the price of the offer was 76 502 297,14 Lt including VAT.
 
The remaining tenders were rejected as not complying to the requirements of the mentioned contest.
 
At present this site is maintained only partially: written-off vessels are cut there and metal scrap is heaped. Reconstructed quays with their extension will provide additional possibilities to handle dry, general and liquid cargo.

The period of contract works will cover 15 month starting from the date of contract signature.
