OREANDA-NEWS. August 25, 2010. As it was informed in the National Bureau of Statistics, the industrial output growth was due to the increased production at processing industry enterprises - by 6,7% and energy sector – by 0,8%, stimulating the increase in the overall production volumes by 5,5% and 0,1%, respectively.

At the same time the volume of production at extractive industry enterprises reduced by 7,7%, stimulating the decrease of total index by 0,1%. The considerable growth was registered at the enterprises: producing clothes - by 14,7%, wine – by 19,4%, tobacco products – by 41,2%, distilled alcoholic drinks – by 22,7%, dairy products – by 5,8%.

The production of canned fruit and vegetables increased by 12,5%, footwear – by 15,8%, suitcases and bags – by 27,1%, medical and pharmaceutical products – by 29,1%, cocoa, chocolate and sugar confectionery – by 6,3%, paper and cardboard – by 7,1%. Production, processing and preservation of meat and meat products has increased by 3,4%, production and distribution of electricity – by 1%. During the same period, the production of pumps, compressors, hydraulic systems has increased by 60,3%, household appliances – by 25,4%, fodder for animals – by 10,2%, furniture – by 3,6%.

At the same time, in January-July 2010 the output reduced at the enterprises, producing other nonmetal mineral products (glass, cement, gypsum, etc.) - by 8,2%. The output of fabricated metal products, except for machinery and equipment has decreased by 27,9%, fats and oils – by 6,9%, rubber and plastic goods – by 10,1%, medical devices, precise, optical instruments - by 23,7%, machinery and equipment – by 4,7%, mineral water and soft drinks – by 4,7%, wood and wooden products - by 28,5%.

As it was reported before, in 2009 the industrial enterprises of Moldova produced to the amount of 23 billion 266,6 million leis (USD1,9 billion), 22,2% down compared with 2008.
